Absolutely fantastic concept. I always look at these puzzle platform games and expect essentially a clone of meatboy or some other less kinetic derivative. I expected the same type of movement system, with just one added gimmick, but your game fundamentally changes the "feel" of the puzzle platformer! It's a little stroke of genius that orthogonal movement costs energy, and that the ground sort of acts as a "charging contact" for the player character. The wind mechanic is the perfect compliment to your movement system. This game's got juice!

Really fun idea, and good execution. Has just enough graphical fidelity and complexity to convey your idea. It's solid construction on a simple, solid premise. If you wanted to do more with it in the future, perhaps try adding a more clear long-term objective, or maybe some more options at the start of the game? Just an idea. Great job!

Woah. Great opening cutscene, such unique and kinetic art-style over such a weird story. Once I got used to the control gimmick I got really involved in solving the levels. This whole thing is an experience. I dig it...

I know some of the resources are recycled but I can't help but be obsessed by the simple but addictive mechanics. It just feels so kinetic the way you duck under bullets, then shoot again. I'm sure it pulls influences from an older game but I've never played a game that felt quite the way this one does... the limited health makes the hits you take seem impactful and devastating but it's not overly punishing for not being perfect ( like contra). Put in a few hours on this gem.

Really outstanding sense of style, extremely tight controls, epic game jam game all around. So simple and so well done. Love it.

Seems a bit early to be posting it. Maybe try getting some things like a simple title-screen or sound effects going. I was playing around with the controls and died early on, and there was no way to continue after death. I had to refresh the page.
2 stars are for the art style you're going with, I like the different sized blocks/pixels. Reminds me of Atari era games like pitfall, but you have a more advanced palette. Keep working on it!

Incredible sound design. Music and SFX are on point. The Djinn creeped me out. A well executed concept... I made several small games and got fairly deep into it. Simulation type games aren't my favorite, so I don't really have any criticism from that standpoint. A very well executed concept.
